PNCA INSTALLATIONS 2016-2019
One of my first Installations at PNCA was titled “Love is the Light in the Dark.”
Light continued to be a theme in my installations, and I began to incorporate animation and interactivity into them. These experiments utilize Processing and micro controllers to translate changes in pitch and tone from a ukulele into visual transitions and overlaps.I then started expanding into other types of human interaction, using mylar and Kinect.
I used the same technique with mylar in this installation, called “Rain Machine,” which was part of the PNCA Animated Arts Expanded Frames Group Show. The piece reacts differently depending on whether the rain is on or off, distorting the visuals in the rain and exposing them with stillness.
